http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=dermacinz&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

Not much yet. Just yours and that was all the newsgroups and not
just the p one.

I see on a web search its related to dermasins?
http://www.google.com/search?q=dermacinz&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=gw

Dermasins, isn't that the company with the rock n roller (houston
somebody) that
spent a whooPing $800 K of his own money to rock his p away?

I remember those posts. Who is that rock and roll houston guy?

His website is suppose to be dermasins.com as i recall.

Do you know karl?

You could just try the stuff and let us know how you do.

Some background demographics on your P would be helpful also.

Sounds good, keep us posted.

When i look back at their site,
http://www.dermalogics.ie/index.asp
At Dermalogics, we have been developing our specialist range of
products for seven years in conjunction with a renowned European
scientist in that field.

( who?)

With our fully patented formulation, containing specific ingredients,
which have proved successful in the relief of various skin disorders
for over twenty years, then by introducing new complex technological
extractions of finite ingredients, we have created a new range of
products that have achieved remarkable results in stabilising most of
these conditions.

We realise that it is not only the skin condition itself but the
psychological affliction that is perceived to create a social stigma
associated with these skin problems. Our company understands and
appreciates this more than others as our Managing Director has
personal experience himself.

Our patented formulation was developed to improve the application type
and methodology for the user - we did not want "just another cream".

============================================

I really wonder who their psoriatic Mangaging Director is!
And whats in that _patented_ not "another cream" formula!

I don't know if this will stick to-gether so i'll post the article.

Pilot Eddie's magic spray ends skin disease ordeal

WHEN former Scots pop star Eddie Houston goes to his local cinema to
see new movie The Singing Detective, it will be a traumatic
experience. He suffers from psoriasis the same debilitating skin
disease as the film's main character, played by Robert Downey Jr.

Eddie went from being a chart-topping guitarist with Scots group Pilot
to spending 20 years as a recluse after an accident during a gig that
he reckons triggered the condition.

But his life has been transformed after he helped develop a new
aerosol spray treatment, Dermacinz, that has cleared his painful
symptoms.

For 20 years, Eddie hid himself from family and friends because his
body was covered in open, weeping sores.

But after using the spray, his condition cleared so much that he could
lead a normal life.

While there is no known total cure for psoriasis, 49 year-old Eddie
hopes hisproduct can help ease the suffering of others.

He is now marketing the range of Dermacinz sprays in Scotland and has
signed a deal to sell them in America.

Eddie said: ''My whole body was covered in a disgusting, bleeding
crust.

''I felt unclean and my selfesteem was at rock bottom.

''I used to just sit in my bedroom and suffered from depression. About
95 per cent of my skin was covered in painful sores.

Eddie hit the big-time with Pilot in the Seventies. Their string of
hits included singles January, Magic, Just A Smile and Call Me Round.

Eight years ago, he commissioned a scientist, Dr Klaus Moock, to look
into how he could develop a treatment.

He said: ''I embarked on a series of tests in which I was the guinea
pig and, amazingly, it worked for me.''

Eddie began to manufacture the spray in Ireland and put a tiny ad in a
newspaper inviting people to try it. Hesaid: ''Forget everything I
achieved with Pilot my biggest kick was when people began to try
Dermacinz.

''One couple brought their three-year-old daughter to our factory. Her
scalp was a mass of congealed blood. The little girl had got steroid
treatment and her parents had taken her to Lourdes.

''After using the spray, her mother phoned me and said: 'This is a
miracle. I can comb her hair and the bleeding has stopped'.''

Eddie now lives in Condorrat, Cumbernauld, with wife Doreen and
children Siobhan, 13, Edward, 12, and Sean, eight.

He reckons his problems began after he was shocked by a live
microphone on stage in Paisley in 1977.

He said: ''I was blown off my feet and knocked unconscious. Weeks
later, I had red blotches on my forehead and went to the doctor.

''He said I had psoriasis and I'd take it to the grave.''

Now, thanks to his Dermacinz spray, Eddie is enjoying a normal family
life.

Strange thing that my P also started when I had a work accident
I wonder if strep was my ONLY accident when i onset?

The more i think about it the bigger the basket case gets.

Or that may be just P-paranoia.
Lets look at contents now:

Zinc Pyrithione: http://www.skin-zinc.net/zinc_pyrithione2.htm
" :
http://dermatology.cdlib.org/DOJvol3num1/zinc/zinc.html
http://www.archbiocides.com/architecturalpaints/zincfung.asp

Alcohol denate ( denat):
http://vm.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-227.html

Isopropyl Myristate: (from some group post of IM)
Isopropyl myristate is not an expensive, exclusive emollient. It's a
cheap emollient, so cheap there's loads of it as the active ingredient
in Liquid Wrench, a product designed to loosen rusted-together parts.
Isopropyl myristate is a penetrating grease that gets the highest
rating on any list of likely comedogenics. It's even listed in the
Merck Manual under "Acne". I hardly ever break out at all but using
anything with isopropyl myristate is practically a guaranteed
breakout,

And skin zinc cap has some also,
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Isopropyl+Myristate&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=DASEO6j030n%40sktb.demon.co.uk&rnum=7

( I wish this Paul Allen guy from the UK was still around the p
newsgroup)

If the only ingredient is the ZnP that does anything, why don't you
buy
H&S shampoo and use it topically overnite or something?
You can get a liter of H&S for under $10 in the US. Try costco.com
online.

Add some denat alcohol or ethyl for you daring types and some
CAPB or any old coconut grease and slather away. The IM is cheap
you could go to the hassle of getting it. Or try DMSO if your
really crazy like i use to be. :)

Oh forgot. )

And that Eddie Houston guy spent $800 K for this? And it took him 20
years
to find it? At least it works for him. Keep us informed as to your
trials.
That dermacinz or demasins may be across the pond soon, we'll need to
know.

20 years to find ZnP? I've had it in my shower longer then that. lol

I guess thats not so bad, as it took me over 40 years to find
wheatgrass
juice extract spray and creosote bush.

And they grow all around me. Who knew about the vinca?

And how many would recognize the oriental poppy as the
evil do'er it is? Quite pretty just left alone to flower.

Rock and Roll and flower Power and side tracked with 20 plus years
of P.

Once we cure all those old P rock and rollers they take back
uP where they left off with a little/lot more sage wisdom.

Hello thanks for your reply and information.

From what your saying this is just a few basic creams put together for the
gullible like myself and I should just look for products containing Zinc?

Would taking Zinc tablets have any effect?

You also recommend Wheatgrass spray is this available in the UK or is there
somewhere on line to order.

I tried to be less direct in fact. :)

You know how things get skewed around here.

And whose to say it won't work better then head and shoulders
painted on once a nite for ten minutes?

Whose gonna take the time to prove it?

NoPe. Well not for most of us anyway. Some five percent of
us would argue it due to the placebo effect in those testing
positive.

I just posted something to the synta oral il-12 thread on
zinc that revives the age old questions with p,
In relationship to Thp monocytes and lack of zinc.
I'm not sure what it means, exactly, yet.

I'll do a separate thread on it with a link.

I'm starting to get the feeling that it may help in
nearly any p treatment strategy.

And one of these days more then a few of us will be going
bonkers with it.

IN a good way of course.

Hey!

Thanks for the follow uP. Mr. Houstons ZnP products
are working for you! What are your demograPhics on
this. How severe before and after, for how long,
age of onset, family involvement etc.

Where are you? Are you ordering from the US?
If so, how long does it take to get here?

For those of you in the UK,
Get your free P help in Scotland.

Had p for over 10 yrs since dec 1993 age 37.

Not as severe as some but still bad enough.

No other family members have any.

Live in uk so could not find wheatgrass or skin cap at the moment and this
dermacinz seems to be the best thing out there at the moment not on

Yes, it is available from www.dermalogics.co.uk as a spray, cream or body wash.

I stopped my normal treatment (Dovonex at night, Ultravate in morning) to try out the spray. Inconclusive. My skin felt tight/sore but I ran out of spray before noticing any other differences.

The body wash, however, has been just great. I resumed my normal treatment and used the body wash daily. In a couple of weeks the red patches on my skin have all but disappeared!
